Your moments matter!

The word "momento" originates

from the Latin verb "to remember".

In the fast-paced world we live in, we simply forget to stop and look around. Why should smelling the roses be reserved for vacations or the five minutes you get away from work, your kids, and/or the buzzing of your phone. I bet you just got some sort of notification while you were reading this.

Reminiscing is so much sweeter when you have something tangible that brings you right back to the feelings, laughter, smells, and anything under the sun associated with your precious memories. That's where I come in...

So who's that behind the camera???

Why photography?

I am a Virginia-born, Nashville, Tennessee transplant that appreciates truly taking in the world and showcasing its beauty. I first got into photography after taking a Digital Photography course while in undergrad. I chose to take this class on a whim because I needed something to fill a timeslot. The magnificent imagery I saw blew me away. I wanted to be a part of being the composer of shots like the ones I saw in class to help others see the loveliness we so easily miss.

I was gifted a DSLR camera the following Christmas and immediately started snapping away. Since then, I have worked as a Newspaper Senior Staff Photographer capturing events ranging from lectures by prominent individuals (my favorite was the author, Stephen King) to sporting events. I also worked for the Lewis Center for the Arts as a Communications Photographer capturing events the center put on and the people that brought these productions to life. Additionally, I have experience with photographing couples, headshots, and landscapes.

What about when you're not snapping pictures?

When I'm not behind the camera, I am a scientist working each day to discover the intricacies of the human body. I am currently a graduate student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville working towards a Ph.D. in Molecular Physiology & Biophysics. In short, I spend my time in a lab studying the complexity of Diabetes and figuring out ways to help those living with this disease. I'm not your average scientist, though, I'm a cool scientist.

I also spend my time exploring Nashville and the beautiful landscape around it. I love hiking (with my camera of course), trying out new restaurants (tacos and queso are my favorites), and watching the ever-expanding number of videos on YouTube and Netflix. I love spending time with friends, family, and my boyfriend too. I am lucky to walk alongside people to help them remember their authentic moments. With my camera and years of photographing experience, I have the patience, flexibility, creativity, and passion to help you let your guard down and bask in the moment.

Sincerely your photographer,

Tiffany
